Scope of work

Overview

The Qatar airways (Client) is requesting a consultancy services to overcome the problem of groundwater raise in their land property. The project is locating inside Doha International Airport, Doha inside Emiri Air Force Base. The project area is measuring about One square kilometer and is within the airport facilities. Due to its low elevation compared to the surrounding areas, the project land is subject to groundwater accumulation, especially in the rainy seasons where the water level increases above the ground leading to flooding and stagnation of water for several weeks/ months and consequently, affecting the movement and usage of the affected area. The main objectives of the consultancy services is to provide all suitable solution to identify and analyses the water sources, causes of water stagnation, and to prevent the accumulation of groundwater in the above-mentioned area by suggesting an engineering solution that best fit the area

Services delivered

Survey of the affected area.
Geotechnical and topological Surveys.
Geotechnical and soil investigations.
Investigation to find exact source of ground water / Source water.
Determine the flow direction of ground water and rate of discharge in both shallow and deep ground water tables.
Examine options for groundwater & surface water collection and disposal.
Conduct hydro-geological and other applicable tests.
Interpret data obtained from various tests.
Compilation of report with recommendation
Provide detailed design for dewatering system.
Provide complete tender package for tendering of works.
Tender evaluation and recommendation
Post contract Supervision services.
