Overview
Flash floods are among the most widespread and destructive dangers of life, property, and infrastructure. Geological, geomorphological, and climatic studies, in addition to historical records, have shown that geomorphological risks increase as human activity increases, and there is many evidence that human interventions that occurred during the last period in most regions in the Kingdom was a critical factor in increasing the level of risk and speeding up morphological processes. There are many places in the world increasing the level of risk and speeding up morphological processes. There are many places in the world in general, and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in particular, which causes many severe damages as a result of flash floods. These damages are in residential areas and roads, as well as agricultural areas. The main reason for the sudden flash floods is due to a number of factors such as encroachment on valleys and building in their , the lack of appropriate drainage systems, the increase in rain rates, changing valleys and building sanitation and throwing waste inside. Therefore, integrated hydrological studies are required to Protect the current residential areas and future plans from the dangers of floods and their negative impacts
